it´s all ends with a bang

The festivities start in September and 16 days later, when October has finally come around, the Bavarian sporting marksmen take up their positions at the feet of the Bavaria statue on the Theresienwiese fairgrounds - a tradition that takes place on the last day of Oktoberfest. Properly attired in traditional Bavaria dress and armed with their rifles, they assemble on the steps leading up to the famous Theresienwiese landmark. When the command is given, there’s a huge bang from the mighty gun salute, signaling the end of the Oktoberfest. Yet again over 6 million visitors have consumed over 7 million Mass (liters) of beer and more than 100 oxen - and around 200,000 visitors have once again been prevented from illegally taking their liter-sized beer mugs home with them.
