A dream car. With its 400 km/h top speed one would need only ten minutes from Munich to the workshop of former racing driver and master mechanic Kurt Lotterschmid in Kolbermoor. Tuned to 1000 hp, the Sirius actually made it up to 1200 hp when put on the test bench. Lotterschmid worked on his dream for eight long years. Then, in 2006, he presented it to the experts and, as the name suggests, the Sirius - which is a star that is 9 million light-years away - delivered what it promised. Sometimes dreams really do come true. Shortly thereafter he sold the first prototypes to Dubai. And while test driving the vehicle together with one of the desert sheiks, they left all the other sheiks in their Ferraris in the dust, in a manner of speaking.

What kind of know-how does this man possess? A man who not only refines already-powerful cars, but also realized such a dream? What kind of experience goes into a project like Sirius? When McNamara, a company that once produced racing cars for the US market, went bankrupt, Lotterschmid bought out the contents of the factory that McNamara had set up in Bavaria. In addition to this, he hooked up with Gustav Brunner, a well-known designer who had worked for both Toyota and Ferrari. Together with him, Lotterschmid drew up his first racing car; Brunner also taught him the secrets of wheel geometry. Today, Lotterschmid has contact with interested investors from Dubai. In discussion is a Sirius series with a run of 350 units. Maybe it’s all really written in the stars ...
