The Düsseldorf metropolitan area has a combined urban railway and tram system and an extensive bus network (Rheinbahn). In addition to the urban railway (S-Bahn), there are also Rhein-Ruhr Transport Association (VRR) regional trains for journeys to Düsseldorf’s surrounding area.

How to get there
Düsseldorf Int. airport has its own railway station. All trains stop there, from the urban railway (S-Bahn) to the ICE. The railway station is located in the east part of the airport site. The Sky Train takes you directly from the
station to the terminal.
The bus station is located in front of main arrivals. When there are exhibitions in Düsseldorf and Essen, special buses travel to the exhibition sites. These buses also stop in front of main arrivals.
