Pancake Philosophy

It might be a bit hard to understand, but what the majority of Germans call “Berliner”, the people of Berlin call “Pfannkuchen” or pancakes. Only one state in Germany calls them something completely different. Where? In Bavaria, of course. Here, they’re called “Krapfen”. And for the rest of the world, they’re simply jelly-filled donuts.

We’ve decided in favor of an international variation: After all, they’re multi-culti, coming in all colors, in various costumes and even with a touch of “makeup". They are actually products of the times, free spirits: naked or coated with a bit of powdered or crystal sugar, glazed in white (I’ve even seen one glazed in red!), with a smiley or even with a sort of tattoo from a baker with wild ideas.
